Ann Hobbie taught fifth and sixth grade in the Roseville Public Schools for eight years. She left full time classroom work when starting a family, opting instead to do a variety of work consulting. This work includes co-developing the original revised versions of Monarchs in the Classroom, Schoolyard Ecology Explorations, and Monarchs and More curriculum guides. Ann has taught many workshops for Monarchs in the Classroom over the years. She established and helps coordinate the use of gardens at Groveland Park Elementary, St. Paul, where her children attend and where she currently works as a substitute teacher. Ann’s most recent consulting work is with Parents United for Public Schools, but has also included courses for Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth and student teacher supervision for Hamline University.
